AALO, Sept 29: An outreach programs to veer veterans (ex-servicemen) of West Siang district was conducted at P P Resort here on Wednesday.
Altogether 35 ex-servicemen from Indian Army, DC, ADC, SP and head of departments took part in the day-long programme, reports DIPRO.
Addressing the gathering, Lt Col T C Tayum, representing Rajya Sainik Board, disclosed that he had toured 11 districts of the state to hear the grievances of ex-servicemen and further stressed on evolving redressal mechanisms for them in all districts.
Tayum also expressed his gratitude to Circle Officer (CO) Kartu Ba, and RWD Assistant Engineer Nyomar Karbak for making all necessary arrangements.
West Siang DC Penga Tato assured to extend cooperation for establishing an office for the ex-servicemen in the premises of DC offices to be operated under his supervisions as a grievances redressal mechanism.
ADC Liyi Bagra also spoke on the occasion, the report added.
